NAB 2025 - Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Handle and Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Grip, two new accessories that transform Blackmagic PYXIS into a flexible run and gun camera for broadcast and documentary work. Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Handle includes an integrated HD OLED viewfinder, stereo microphone, record start/stop and custom function buttons. The Blackmagic PYXIS Pro Grip is a side grip for video production and includes a zoom rocker and hand strap for secure and comfortable shooting. NAB 2025--Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8, a new rack mount media backup solution that allows customers to use inexpensive computer hard drives to back up media files fast. Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 syncs to Blackmagic Cloud for backing up collaborative projects in DaVinci Resolve. Plus, it features a rack mount design with 8 independent hard disk slots, 4 x 10G Ethernet ports for maximum performance with high capacity hard disks, and an HDMI monitor output that shows storage status. Blackmagic Design today announced DaVinci Resolve 20 a major new update which adds over 100 new features and AI tools such as AI IntelliScript, AI Animated Subtitles, AI Multicam SmartSwitch and AI Audio Assistant, as well as keyframe editing, voice over palettes, multi layer compositing tools, new optical flow vector tools and major updates to Magic Mask and depth map. NAB 2025 - Blackmagic Design today announced DeckLink IP 100G, a new PCIe Gen 4 card which can capture and playback up to 8 channels of HD and Ultra HD video simultaneously into 2110 IP systems. It also includes 2 x 100G Ethernet QSFP ports for redundancy, or connecting to two separate 100G Ethernet switches, as well as built in cooling. DeckLink IP 100G also supports GPUDirect RDMA for direct memory transfers between DeckLink and GPUs, reducing PCIe bandwidth when processing video on GPUs for a significant reduction in latency. DeckLink IP 100G will be available in July from Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide for US$1,795.

Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body which is a version of the camera that has all the quality and features of the URSA Cine 12K but excludes many of the accessories. This body only model is perfect for experienced cinematographers and rental houses who already have the accessories they need to rig their cameras. This also makes it more affordable as the new Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body will retail for US$6,995 excluding local duties and taxes.

IBC 2024--Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic Camera for Android 1.3 update, which adds support for recording timecode with clips which allows customers to quickly synchronize video and audio in post production and to use recordings from multiple cameras in a multi-cam edit with timecode sync. The update also adds anamorphic lens de-squeeze functionality and lens correction settings as well as support for off-speed and time lapse recording. Customers with Pixel 6, 7, 8 and 9 phones will now be able to record at higher frame rates including 120fps and 240fps at 720p and 120fps at 1080p. Additionally, Blackmagic Camera now supports Xiaomi 13T, Samsung Flip 5/6 and Fold 5/6 phones. Blackmagic Camera is now available from Google Play, free of charge.

IBC 2024--Blackmagic Design today announced ATEM Switchers 9.6.2 update which adds support for Visca over IP camera control on all ATEM Constellation models. Now customers can control up to 100 PTZ cameras via their network using the IP address of the camera. This update also adds audio output mapping for all Constellation HD models, as well as new multi-view and SuperSource features for HD and 4K models. Plus it provides support for 30 and 60 fps formats in all HD, Ultra HD and 8K standards for ATEM Constellation 8K.

NAB 2023 - Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic Camera 8.1 update which adds support for vertical aspect ratio video to Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras, allowing users to create cinematic vertical video for platforms such as TikTok. This update adds automatic rotation of the camera’s on screen HUD and automatically tags files as vertical so they display correctly when imported for editing, making it much easier to both shoot and edit vertical content. NAB 2023 - Blackmagic Design today announced DeckLink IP, a new family of PCIe cards that capture and playback 10-bit uncompressed, broadcast quality video directly into 2110 IP based broadcast systems. DeckLink IP cards support multiple video channels plus each channel can capture and play back at the same time. DeckLink IP provides total IP network security as all video is captured and played back using the DeckLink IP’s frame buffers, which act like a video based firewall isolating the ethernet port from anything other than video and audio. DeckLink IP will be available in June from Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide from US$345.

Blackmagic Design today announced ATEM Microphone Converter, a new audio analog to digital converter that lets customers add additional microphones to ATEM switcher models such as the new ATEM Television Studio HD8. Featuring a MADI connection, it means customers don't have to configure any complex settings because the connection is a simple BNC cable. The design features amazing quality with an extremely low noise floor of -129dBV, a dynamic range of 131 dB(A), low distortion of 0.002% and uniform tolerances across all channels. Blackmagic Design today announced 2 new ATEM hardware control panels for all ATEM switchers. The new 30 and 40 button models of the ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel are large enough so the user has dedicated controls for the largest ATEM switchers, but are compact so they fit into any studio space. While including the same features as the ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel that has 20 input buttons, these new models are wider and have 30 and 40 input buttons. Blackmagic Design today announced HyperDeck Shuttle HD, a new recorder/player that’s designed for use on the desktop as an on demand media player. Blackmagic Design today announced DaVinci Resolve 17.3 which adds support for a completely new processing engine that transforms the speed of DaVinci Resolve to work up to 3 times faster on Apple Mac models with the M1 chip. With this massive speed increase, customers can now play back, edit and grade 4K projects faster, and can even work on 8K projects on an Apple M1 notebook. The new processing engine uses tile based rendering, which also gives customers up to 30% longer battery life on laptop computers when working in DaVinci Resolve.

Blackmagic Design today announced a new lower price for the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K of US$5,995. This price reduction has been made possible by efficiencies in manufacturing combined with an improved supply of 12K sensors. However with the new rendering engine in DaVinci Resolve 17.3, showing speed improvements up to 3x when working in 4K and 8K resolutions, the new lower price will make high resolution workflows more accessible. This is an exciting innovation because it transforms high resolution workflows and makes them much lower cost. With this new low price for Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K, a much wider range of customers will have access to feature film production.

Blackmagic Design today announced the new addition to the Blackmagic Web Presenter family. This new Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K model has an upgraded Ultra HD resolution H.264 encoder for live streaming in native Ultra HD. The new Web Presenter 4K is a compact design that includes a 12G-SDI input with down converter, so customers can select to stream in 1080p HD or 2160p Ultra HD resolutions. This new model also simulates a USB webcam when connected to computers, and the USB webcam feature also supports 1080p HD or 2160p Ultra HD resolutions.

Blackmagic Design today announced a new family of HyperDeck Studio models that feature better design, upgraded codecs and support for more media types. All models now support record and playback to H.264, ProRes and DNx files, as well as PCM or AAC audio. Plus all models support SD Cards and UHS-II cards, with the Pro models adding extra SSD support.
