Axelspace Corporation announced the launch of AxelLiner Laboratory (AL Lab), a new service under AxelLiner introduced in 2022. This service specializes in in-orbit demonstration of space components with sales set to begin in the near future. Additionally, a new memorandum was signed between Axelspace and ASPINA Shinano Kenshi Co., Ltd., a partner in developing a reaction wheel for microsatellites since 2020. The companies have agreed to launch the wheel in 2026 and conduct an in-orbit demonstration, making it the first to utilize AL Lab.

Axelspace Holdings Corporation today announced that the company completed its Series D funding round raising approximately JPY 6.24 billion (equivalent to USD 44.0 million). The round sees the allocation of new shares to SMBC-GB Growth I Investment Limited Partnership, several other venture capitals, and corporate investors. This brings the cumulative amount of equity financing to approximately JPY 14.3 billion.

Axelspace, in collaboration with Tokyo Institute of Technology, succeeded in developing Ka-band radio for microsatellites
Axelspace Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yuya Nakamura) and co-researchers have successfully developed a novel Ka-band radio for microsatellites. This new radio system, when compared to a conventional radio, operates with less than half the power consumption and has a high radiation tolerance. This collaborative research was developed with Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), with Associate Professor Atsushi Shirane of Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology and Professor Kenichi Okada and Assistant Professor Takashi Tomura of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The research results are scheduled to be presented on 21st of February 2023, at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), the largest international conference in the semiconductor industry.
